If you are interested in being part of Artful Caledon there are a number of ways that we invite local artists to participate:

• The opportunity to promote yourself and your work on our new virtual platform.  Provide a brief biography/photo (optional); photographs of your work (3-5) and if there are any links to your personal website, projects, exhibits that you would like us to promote.

• Join us for the official launch of Artful Caledon as part of a day-long celebration kicking off our 20th annual Love Your Library month.  The event is also celebrating Ontario Culture Days and the Headwaters Arts Festival and will include an art exhibit featuring artwork from our Artful Caledon artists. Here are the details:

Saturday, September 30, 2017 | 10 am – 4 pm

The Historic Alton School | 19657 Main St, Caledon, ON L7K 0E1

There will be a schedule of events including the announcing of the winners of our Click•Click•Create photography/writing/poetry contests; Read Local Caledon Authors including internationally acclaimed best-selling author Ken Weber; interactive activities for children with the demonstration of a 3-D printing and a magician; music and refreshments.
If you would be interested in displaying your artwork at the event, please send an email to programs@caledon.library.on.ca Space may be limited so please let us know ASAP.

• We are looking for workshop facilitators beginning this fall.  We hope to offer workshops and demonstrations in the community and are seeking artists to share their knowledge and skills.  For more information contact Mary Maw | 905-857-1400 ext. 228 | mmaw@caledon.library.on.ca

Art Exhibits Caledon Public Library is pleased to showcase art all year round! We display art exhibits free of charge at all of our branches. We celebrate photographers, painters, sculptors and graphic designers (to name only a few) of all ages – from up and coming artists who are school age to high school, to do-it-yourselfers to professionals. Contact programs@caledon.library.on.ca

As an organization, Caledon Public Library recognizes that art and culture enhance the quality of life in our community and as confirmed in our strategic plan, we consider it our duty to “reflect and celebrate Caledon’s unique culture, identity and heritage”.  We look forward to working with you to make this happen.
