A vibrant community of artists in the Orangeville, Ontario area.
Barb Sawicki
In the summer of 2012, in a dollar store in Bracebridge, my love of painting began. With dollar store canvas, paints and brushes in hand, I returned to the family cottage and started to put paint to canvas.
Spending all my life’s summers in Muskoka, I have unending, breathtaking inspirational views. In the colours of the glorious Muskoka sunsets, the endless bays and inlets, magnificent rocks and the pine trees that sit askew from the wind, I’m always excited to attempt to capture the vast wildness with paints. I am also blessed to be surrounded by such beauty in all the hills, trees, streams that are at my doorstep, here in Orangeville.
It is my hope, that I can continue to learn and in some way, put the beauty of my little corner of the earth on canvas, for myself and others to enjoy.
