Donna Hosken a resident of Shelburne, Ontario, is a hobbyist painter. Many of her works are influenced by her Anishnaabe heritage. Her Grandparents resided on Georgina Island.
“My interest in art began when I started babysitting at age 13. I would take a sketch book and started sketching cartoon characters and sitcom characters Charlie’s Angels and Mash ETC. Later in life, I tried my hand at oils and this led me to where I am today. I’ve had no art lessons and just do this as a pastime to get through the long winter months. I golf all summer as this is another passion of mine.”
